Emily Wright is a Torquay based artist and illustrator working under the name Ahki Illustration. Her practice spans detailed graphite drawings, hand-carved lino prints, and large-scale murals; often inspired by the ocean, local wildlife, and the coastal environment she calls home. Emily’s work explores themes of connection to nature, place, and community, and she is passionate about creating art that feels both meaningful and accessible. Through her work, workshops, and public art, she aims to share her love for the natural world and inspire others to feel connected to it too.

Ink & Press onto Fabric: A Creative Drop-In Workshop
Step into the studio and experience the simple, satisfying process of lino printing for yourself. Throughout the day, I’ll have a selection of my hand-carved lino block designs ready for you to choose from, each one inspired by the natural beauty of the Surf Coast. Bring along a piece of fabric you’d love to give new life to; a t-shirt, tote, jumper, or any smooth material. You can then print one of my designs onto it using fabric inks. I’ll guide you through the process 🙂 No experience needed — just a willingness to get a little inky and creative.
