I paint from a lifelong attentiveness to land. Growing up along Victoria’s coastlines, rivers, and open pasture, I learned to notice the quieter rhythms of place—shifts in light, the pull of weather, the slow movement of water across ground. These early experiences continue to shape how I see and how I work.

My paintings are built through a slow, considered process using translucent oils, wax layers, and mineral pigments. Each surface holds traces of its making, allowing light to move through layers rather than sit on top of them. Rather than depicting a specific site, the works carry the essence of a place remembered—landscape distilled into tone, texture, and atmosphere
