Porta Vermelha Studio is an open work studio for fellow artists to enjoy creating their own unique works, in all sizes, with laughter and encouragement in the peaceful setting of the Bellbrae hills.
The studio hosts several professional/exhibiting artists as well as absolute beginners, all very happy to share their skills, demonstrate their craft, and often even let visitors join in.

Lauren McQuade Handmade is a small batch ceramics business that was born of a desire to enjoy slow living in Bellbrae on the Surf Coast of Victoria, Australia - a desire to create something unique in my physical pieces and in my everyday life.
A Professional Photographer by trade I have always been creative however the change of pace with clay was something I was instantly drawn to.

Porta Vermelha Studio is an open, welcoming space for artists and visitors alike. A place to create, connect, and be inspired. Throughout the year, it offers a relaxed environment where creativity flows freely, conversations spark ideas, and artist support and celebrate one another's journeys.
During the Surf Coast Arts Trail weekend, the studio comes alive with live demonstrations across a range of disciplines, including oil painting, pottery, acrylic painting, and textile art.
Visitors are invited to step inside, observe techniques in action, ask questions, and even have a hands-on experience. Whether you are an emerging artist, a curious beginner, or simply someone who appreciates creativity, Porta Vermelha Studio provides a friendly, engaging atmosphere to explore artistic processes up close.
It's the perfect opportunity to meet working artist, gain insight into their practice, and share in the joy of making within a vibrant, supportive creative community.
