Australian Pottery Supplies

Tracey has been a ceramic artist and tutor in the NE suburbs of Melbourne for over 15 years. Recently taking a role with Australian Pottery Supplies, Tracey is now part of a dynamic team dedicated to helping others on their pottery journeys. Her work is mainly wheel thrown functional ware fired to stoneware that is inspired by those moments in life making and sharing memories, sharing food and spending time.

In my practice, surface decoration inspires simple tableware & complex architectural sculptures which often come with the challenges of combining ceramics with metal, stone & wood.

Sophie Chisholm makes functional ceramic pieces from her garage in Torquay. They are born from the quiet moments a creative mother steals, while the mess in the house has to wait. Crafted during her daughters naps, each piece is a celebration & reconnection to self. Sophie creates food/dishwasher safe mid-fire & stoneware pieces. They are made for the everyday & to elevate those quiet moments with a hot coffee/tea.

Castle Heads is a sculptural collection.
Each piece is unique whilst being recognizable and akin to another.
The castle a symbol of protection has its form abstracted, expanding turrets act as antennas picking up frequencies that signal the head.
Each one is connected and on its own trip.
They continue to ascend and evolve.

Amy creates everyday functional pottery with an emphasis on playful texture and colour. She loves to use midfire glazes in combination for their movement and playful interaction. As a teacher, she enjoys introducing children to the wonders of clay.
