Peter Day

Peter Day’s affinity with land and sea country is the inspiration for over three decades of sculpture making and artwork. Peter follows the practice of Artivism- using sculpture and land art actions as a means to prompt connection and deeper understanding of our fragile environment.

Recent projects have included Department of Environment ‘Life of the Yarra’ installation in Federation Square Melbourne, Melbourne Water ‘Werribee River Project’, ‘Wonder of Whales’ events with Sea Shepherd Australia, workshops for the Lorne Sculpture Biennale 2012/14/16, as well as numerous regional festivals, exhibits, private and public commissions. Peter’s 2017/18 ‘Brolga Pathways’ project conducted with South-West Victorian schools received the Victorian Premiers Award for environmental education excellence.
