Jiri Tibor Novak
Jiri is a watercolour artist who has been a friend and exhibiting artist at the gallery for several years and his beautiful works now adorn many homes across the State and nation. Tibor tributes 20th Century Czech artist Jan Zrzavy’s vision and the lyrical nature of his works as a key inspiration in his own artistic journey. A local resident of Aireys Inlet he is also regularly influenced and inspired by our local area, the community, space and almost conflicting vitality and isolation that blankets the region in different seasons.
His Neighbours exhibition pays tribute to the community that weaves itself around the gallery, the local businesses and the people who live or visit the region – individuals who make up the fabric of an area we call home. Whilst his portraits may not be easily recognizable all are celebrations of the neighbours, characters and diverse personalities who pay a role in the richness of our lives.
