Artists at Torquay Community House

Studio 14 at Torquay Community House is a welcoming creative hub where local artists gather to explore, learn and create. Working across acrylic, watercolour and drawing, the group fosters a supportive environment for artists of all experience levels. The House is also home to classes led by established artists Colin Peel and Pat McKenzie, enriching the broader creative community. Visitors to the Surf Coast Arts Trail can enjoy ongoing watercolour demonstrations, meet the artists, and gain insight into a range of techniques and styles in a relaxed, inclusive setting.

Fishos Torquay – Watercolour

The purpose for this demonstration will be how to paint a seascape with cliffs and reflections, in watercolour. Watercolour is a very exciting medium when used correctly. No other medium gives you the excitement of true colour blending, granulation of colours, and brush techniques. In painting “Fishos” I hope to convey the spectacular reflections of the landscape that occur all along the Surf Coast when the tide and conditions are right.
